Today, Jon W. Adams, Director of Architectural and Heritage Services, and Eric Davis, IT Coordinator, met with the Mercer Museum Board of Directors to discuss how DJS could preserve and digitally showcase the museums artifacts. The Mercer Museum is looking for new ways to display their artifacts, which number in the tens of thousands.

Using 3D laser scanning, DJS can produce 3D models of the artifacts, allowing the museum to interactively share online, in addition to providing rich content for museum visitors. The Mercer Museum Board of Directors were extremely excited about this potential , which would allow their visitors to digitally view and manipulate the priceless artifacts as if they were holding them in their hands.
